As a customer service representative at a local power company, I receive hundreds if not thousands of phone call each month regarding the various electricity plans that we offer. Our company tries to advertise our plans across the state to keep potential customers informed of our low rates and options. The enactment of the Power to Choose program in 2002 has certainly made this service very competitive as people know that they can move around from one company to another at any time. Competing for new customers and keeping current customers happy is the main goal of any power company, and I enjoy being a part of this service.
