My daughter loves to write, especially scary stories and poems. It used to bother me that she was so obsessed with the darker side of life, until she finally told me that it was her way of working through her fears. After that, I started really looking at her literature and realized that it was pretty good. Her stories contained some unexpected twists, and there was a catchy rhythm to her poetry that made me want to recite it.
