When I found out that the people of Senegal make less than $1.25 U.S. dollars a day, I was outraged! I knew that there were many tribes all around the world that live in this kind of poverty, but it really struck me hard. When I found out that New Tribes Mission was going to, I signed up. When we got there, I was surprised at how populated the small country was. There were so many people in the village we went to, I didn’t know if we were going to be able to help them all. After planting crops and shipping in animals, they started to grow as a community, and they became more self sufficient.
