After the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, many people sought alernative answers to what caused this historic tragedy. Many people and circumstances have been blamed for this disaster, but in the end there are probably many reasons for this tragedy.

John Smith was the captain of the Titanic during her maiden voyage, although he died in the accident he has been blamed for the events that took place that night. Sources claim that Captain Smith received several iceberg warnings not only from members of his crew, but from other ships. Many believe that if he had slowed the speed of the ship, the disaster would not have happened.

The shipbuilders have also been blamed for this incident. After the wreckage was found, rivets from the ship were recovered and analyzed. They showed that the rivets were not made of durable iron. If better quality iron had been used they may not have broken when it impacted with the iceberg.
